Job Description
Protectowire in Pembroke, MA is seeking a full-time Human Resources Generalist to administer day-to-day HR operations onsite, reporting to the COO.
Responsibilities
- Lead the talent acquisition lifecycle, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, extending offers, and onboarding new hires.
- Collaborate with department leaders to assess staffing needs and define required skills and competencies.
- Process payroll and maintain accurate payroll records to ensure timely, precise payments.
- Administer benefits programs, leave management, unemployment claims, workers’ compensation, and accommodation workflows.
- Coordinate and support the performance review process across the organization, guiding managers through cycles.
- Serve as the HR resource for employees on policies, benefits, payroll, and general employment questions.
- Support culture initiatives, employee engagement efforts, recognition programs, and company events.
- Coordinate HR administrative activities and provide operational support as needed.
- Help resolve employee concerns while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Advise managers and staff on policies, procedures, and employment practices.
- Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS data, organization charts, and job descriptions with confidentiality.
- Assist with communicating and applying company policies to ensure consistent implementation.
- Maintain HR practices in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Conduct HR-related research and assess the effectiveness of programs and policies.
- Recommend improvements to HR policies, programs, and processes to enhance the employee experience and organizational effectiveness.
- Prepare HR reports and analyze data to support workforce decisions.
- Coordinate employee training, development, and onboarding activities.
- Maintain knowledge of employment law, regulatory changes, and HR best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of five years of progressive HR experience.
- Experience processing payroll and maintaining payroll records.
- Experience in recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, leave management, and performance management.
- Experience supporting manufacturing environments preferred.
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, PFML, ADA, FLSA, COBRA, unemployment insurance, and workers’ compensation.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or related HR certification preferred.

Pay Range
- USD 75,745 - 113,052 per year
- Final pay is determined using market data aligned with the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
