As the HR Manager, you will play a central role in shaping culture and driving the team that underpins everything the company does.
Responsibilities
- Oversee full recruitment lifecycle, including posting roles, interviewing, background checks, and onboarding
- Create and maintain job descriptions for all positions
- Lead new hire orientation and collect all required employment documents
- Maintain employee records, certifications, and compliance documentation including IICRC and OSHA requirements
- Administer benefits programs such as medical, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k)
- Monitor time-off requests, attendance, and timekeeping systems
- Support payroll processing by validating time and compensation data
- Manage employee relations, resolve conflicts, and address disciplinary matters
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and safety regulations
- Coordinate ongoing training, safety meetings, and continuing education for field and office staff
- Support performance reviews, goal setting, and employee development plans
- Develop and update HR policies, the employee handbook, and internal procedures
- Submit and track workers' compensation claims
- Collaborate with leadership to cultivate a positive culture and boost engagement
- Plan employee events, recognition programs, and team-building activities
- Stay current on HR best practices, employment law changes, and restoration industry requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred
- 3–5 years of progressive HR experience
- PHR or SPHR certification a plus
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law
- Experience with OSHA compliance and safety program management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Experience in the restoration, construction, or trades industry a plus
- Self-motivated, accountable, and solutions-oriented
