Job Description
The Luxury Pergola, onsite in Noblesville, IN, seeks a Human Resources Manager to lead the people function across the organization. This role reports to the Co-Owner/CFO and oversees recruiting, onboarding, compliance, benefits administration, and culture. Salary range: USD 75,000 - 85,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment, including developing job descriptions, sourcing candidates, coordinating interviews, and managing offers.
- Direct onboarding and offboarding to ensure smooth starts and respectful exits.
- Create, document, and maintain HR policies, the employee handbook, and standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate payroll-related activities, benefits enrollment, and PTO tracking in collaboration with leadership and an external accounting partner.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain audit readiness.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace concerns.
- Design and administer performance review cycles, goal-setting frameworks, and professional development programs.
- Collaborate with leadership on organizational planning, compensation strategy, and headcount forecasting.
- Promote company culture through engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and team events.
- Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and HR systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field.
- 4+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least two years in a generalist or HR management role.
- Solid knowledge of U.S. employment law, compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
- Experience overseeing recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with discreet judgment on sensitive matters.
- Highly organized self-starter capable of independently managing HR in a growing company.
- Proficiency with payroll platforms and standard office software.
