Human Resources Manager
Job Description
This onsite HR Manager position, based in Amarillo, TX, oversees day-to-day HR operations, people systems, and programs focused on employee development and retention. You will drive performance management, training, workforce planning, and employee relations while upholding the organization’s culture. Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the human resources department.
- Lead full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
- Serve as the primary HR resource for employee relations, policy interpretation, and employee support.
- Implement and maintain the organization’s performance evaluation framework.
- Coordinate performance review timelines, manager training, and follow-up to ensure consistency and accountability.
- Maintain and refine the job description architecture to reflect current responsibilities and organizational needs.
- Design, coordinate, and continuously improve employee training programs.
- Partner with department leaders to identify training needs and support employee development initiatives.
- Assist leadership with workforce planning and succession planning efforts.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies.
- Maintain HRIS data integrity and leverage system capabilities to support operations and reporting.
- Support culture initiatives through ongoing conversations to reinforce desired workplace behaviors and values.
- Provide coaching and guidance to supervisors and managers on employee management practices.
- Collaborate with the Employee Experience Coordinator to support onboarding, engagement, recognition, and employee-focused initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Assist with organizational development and change management initiatives as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of human resources principles and practices.
- Understanding of employee relations, performance management, recruiting, training, and employment law.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build credibility and trust.
- Ability to coach and influence at multiple levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations.
- Experience utilizing HRIS systems and HR reporting tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of HR experience.
