Job Description
Join Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis as an onsite Human Resources Manager, providing hands-on HR support across several social services locations as the local extension of the Ministry Office HR. This role covers the St. Louis Counseling and Queen of Peace ministries, with a starting salary of $60,000 per year and the potential for higher compensation based on experience. This is an onsite opportunity in St. Louis, MO.

Responsibilities
- Act as the main HR liaison for designated service line locations, guiding leaders on staffing plans, scheduling, coaching, performance management, and corrective actions.
- Manage coworker relations, lead investigations, and record findings consistent with Ministry Office standards.
- Collaborate with hiring managers on job requisitions, candidate sourcing, interviews, reference checks, offers, and onboarding processes.
- Assist with new hire orientation at the service line location as needed, coordinating training through Ministry Office programs such as OSHA, HIPAA, and Safe Environment.
- Support engagement and retention initiatives, including recognition programs, feedback mechanisms, and stay interviews.
- Educate coworkers on benefits and leave procedures, coordinating with the Ministry Office.
- Assist with leave administration including FMLA and the ADA interactive process, plus return-to-work coordination.
- Maintain personnel records such as licenses, credentials, TB tests, physicals, and driver records; ensure postings and E-Verify compliance.
- Contribute to Joint Commission readiness where applicable and participate in HR audits.
- Process HRIS transactions accurately and timely, including hires, status changes, and terminations; advocate local process adherence.
- Assist with timekeeping accuracy and provide payroll data entry backup as directed by the HR Senior Director, depending on location.
- Serve as liaison to on-site union representatives when applicable and escalate complex issues.
- Coordinate safety requirements such as injury reporting, workers’ compensation, and OSHA logs in partnership with Risk Management and Ministry Office HR.
- Suggest process improvements that enhance quality, coworker experience, and efficiency across locations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field is required.
- 3 to 5 years of HR generalist or manager experience; multi-site or in social services, healthcare, or nonprofit settings is preferred. SHRM-CP or SHRM-PHR certification is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently among assigned locations.
