Job Description
Energy Transfer is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join the Dallas onsite team, partnering with operations to align talent management and employee relations with the organization's goals. The role emphasizes close collaboration with field and operations leadership to support workforce planning and elevate employee engagement across multiple sites in oil and gas, manufacturing, and energy services contexts.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, guiding organizational design, workforce planning, and culture initiatives.
- Provide coaching to managers on performance management, career development, and recognition programs.
- Collaborate with field and operations leaders to address workforce needs and boost engagement across teams.
- Apply experience to inform sound decision-making and ensure consistency in HR practices.
- Oversee conflict resolution through investigations, mediation, and issuing fair, consistent resolutions.
- Administer progressive discipline per company policy, ensuring fairness and consistency.
- Act as the primary contact for employee relations across multiple regions, delivering timely support.
- Exercise sound judgment and promote practices aligned with applicable laws at local, state, and federal levels.
- Communicate and implement HR policies to maintain compliance with FMLA, ADA, EEO, and OSHA.
- Ensure compliance with safety, reporting, and labor standards typical of oil and gas, manufacturing, and other regulated sectors.
- Maintain HR metrics and reporting to identify trends and drive action.
- Design and deliver training on leadership, performance improvement, and other HR topics.
- Conduct exit interviews, analyze feedback, and collaborate with leadership on retention initiatives.
- Support workforce development programs for skilled trades, field-based, and industrial roles.
- Lead or contribute to change management initiatives, system deployments, and ongoing process improvements.
- Represent HR in executive and administrative meetings, delivering updates and recommendations.
- Manage ad hoc projects and priorities, adapting to evolving business needs and deadlines.
- Work cross-functionally to advance enterprise-wide initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in oil and gas, manufacturing, energy services, or related sectors.
- Track record of supporting a large matrixed organization or multi-site workforce.
- Ability to support sizable employee populations across multiple regions with travel as needed.
- At least eight years of experience as an HR Generalist or HRBP, with demonstrated work in employee relations, performance management, and program administration.
- Willingness to travel roughly 25% to 30%, including overnight stays.
- Solid experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, ADP, and Oracle, plus strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to derive insights from HR metrics and benchmarking studies.
- Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and conflict-resolution abilities; capable of influencing across all levels.
- A track record of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information.
- Strong project management skills, capable of juggling multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Self-motivated and solution-oriented, thriving in a fast-paced service-driven environment.
- Ability to build strong operating relationships through visibility, approachability, and hands-on support.
- Ability to navigate industrial or field-based environments while maintaining compliance and engagement.
- Comfort operating within established corporate systems while delivering site-specific HR solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present HR topics to diverse audiences.
- Ability to adapt to change and manage multiple projects and priorities.
- This role is on-site only and does not offer remote or hybrid work options.
