Job Description

Lead HR operations for an aerospace materials and parts manufacturing facility, supporting workforce development, compliance, and employee relations in Newton, KS onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and communicate Park’s culture across the organization.
  • Engage with employees in the workplace and lead projects focused on skill development and career growth through the Park Customer Flex Program.
  • Own full-cycle recruiting for exempt, nonexempt, and temporary positions, including job postings, screening, interviewing, reference checks, offers, and new-hire onboarding.
  • Administer compensation programs and maintain job descriptions (write and update).
  • Manage performance evaluation systems.
  • Oversee administration of health benefits, retirement plans, workers’ compensation, and tracking for FMLA and short-term disability, including invoice approvals and change reporting.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute the company’s Affirmative Action Plan (AAP).
  • Ensure compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) requirements, including timely filing of EEO-1 and VETS-4212 reports.
  • Partner with the Compliance team to ensure recruitment, onboarding, and background screening processes align with ITAR and EAR requirements.
  • Provide employee relations guidance, conduct exit interviews, maintain department records, and support compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Set department goals, objectives, and related policies and procedures.
  • Review HR reports and outcomes against department goals, then recommend strategies to improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a management role.
  • HR experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • Due to ITAR/EAR compliance and access to sensitive defense data, candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with both hourly floor workers and executive leadership.
  • Thorough understanding of Kansas labor practices and employment laws required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
