Human Resources Manager
Job Description
Oram Hotels is hiring a Human Resources Manager to support the people function in a hospitality setting in San Diego, CA (onsite). In this role, you will guide talent acquisition and employee relations while strengthening HR processes and supporting organizational development through data-informed decisions and compliant operations.
What you will do
- Direct talent acquisition efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding candidates aligned with current organizational needs.
- Oversee employee orientation to help new hires successfully integrate and understand company policies.
- Manage performance management by coordinating evaluations, providing coaching support, and helping build development plans.
- Administer benefits programs and support payroll processing, while maintaining accurate HRIS data using platforms such as ADP, HCM, or SAP SuccessFactors.
- Handle employee relations matters by conducting misconduct investigations, supporting conflict resolution, and contributing to a positive work environment.
- Maintain compliance with employment and labor law, including OSHA regulations, FMLA policies, Workers’ Compensation procedures, and other HR legal standards.
- Supervise HR sourcing strategies and implement process improvements that support recruitment and retention initiatives.
What you bring
- 2-3 years of hospitality HR experience.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven background in talent acquisition, employee onboarding, and HR sourcing strategy execution.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience managing HR teams effectively.
- Expertise working with HR systems such as UltiPro, Kronos, Oracle HCM, or SAP SuccessFactors for data analysis and process automation.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Working knowledge of employment law as it relates to talent management and employee relations.
- Effective communication skills to present HR strategy to senior leadership and facilitate employee training sessions.
- Knowledge of change management principles and program management techniques to support organizational growth.
