Job Description

Fibercom LLC is hiring a Human Resources Operations Lead for an on-site, full-time role in Chantilly, VA. This position leads the day-to-day HR function and partners closely with executive leadership and the Strategic HR Advisor to keep HR operations running smoothly while supporting organizational growth. You’ll also coordinate key people processes across employee relations, compliance, payroll coordination, recruiting, onboarding, and HR team development.

What you’ll do

  • Lead daily HR operations and supervise the HR team.
  • Manage employee relations, including investigations, coaching, and support for performance-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, HR policies, and I-9 requirements.
  • Oversee payroll coordination, HRIS usage, benefits administration, and maintenance of personnel records.
  • Support recruiting activities, interviewing, onboarding, and workforce planning.
  • Develop and improve HR operations through process development, reporting, metrics, and operational enhancements.
  • Partner with leadership to implement HR initiatives and support organizational growth.

What you bring

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience.
  • Strong experience across employee relations, compliance, recruiting, onboarding, and payroll support.
  • Experience leading or mentoring HR staff.
  • Knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Spanish language ability (required).
  • Ability to commute to Chantilly, VA 20151 (required).

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, SHRM-SCP, or SPHR certification.
  • Multi-state HR experience.
  • Experience in telecommunications, construction, infrastructure, or field services.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.

Compensation and location

Location: Chantilly, VA (On-Site)
Employment type: Full-Time, in person
Salary: $75,000–$90,000 per year
Pay range: $75,000.00–$90,000.00 per year
