Human Resources Recruiter

Transpo Bus Services is seeking a dynamic and proactive Human Resources Recruiter to attract top talent and support our growing transportation operations. This on-site role in Rochester, NY oversees the full recruitment lifecycle, candidate sourcing, and relationship management to ensure our teams are staffed with qualified professionals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end recruitment across multiple roles, with a focus on drivers and monitors.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to define staffing needs and role requirements.
• Review resumes and conduct initial phone screenings to evaluate candidate fit.
• Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
• Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
• Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
• Conduct and track multiple background checks.
• Maintain accurate candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Provide administrative support including data entry and record management.
• Assist with onboarding and new hire orientation.
• Support general HR administrative functions as needed.

Requirements

• Demonstrated success recruiting in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to engage candidates and manage relationships effectively.
• Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and HRIS platforms such as Paychex.
• Knowledge of employment and labor laws to ensure compliant hiring practices across all levels of the organization.

Compensation

Hourly pay range: USD 22.00 to 25.00 per hour.

Education

An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.

Experience

• Recruiting experience: 2 years (Required)
• Human Resources experience: 1 year (Required)
