Anta Electric, Inc., a growing woman owned contract manufacturing company, seeks a Human Resources Specialist to join our Cedar Knolls, NJ team. The role supports human resources operations across recruiting, onboarding, payroll, HRIS data integrity, employee relations, and compliance, contributing to a streamlined, confidential, and compliant workplace.
Responsibilities
- Support recruiting activities by posting roles, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, and presenting employment offers.
- Onboard new hires through completing paperwork, entering data into Paychex, and delivering orientation.
- Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, and HRIS data with strict confidentiality.
- Assist with payroll administration using Paychex, including data updates, correcting missed punches, and processing payroll changes.
- Act as an HR partner, advising employees on relations, policy interpretation, performance management, and workplace issues.
- Coordinate offboarding processes, including exit documentation, system access, and final HR procedures.
- Process employee status changes, including promotions, transfers, compensation adjustments, and benefit updates.
- Provide guidance on benefit plan provisions and eligibility, resolve benefit issues, and support annual open enrollment.
- Conduct employee relations investigations as needed, evaluate findings, document outcomes, and recommend resolutions aligned with policy and law.
- Interpret and apply federal, state, and local employment laws to ensure compliance.
- Maintain HR reports, organizational data, personnel documentation, and workforce records; ensure training records are current.
- Support employee relations initiatives, including coordinating offsite events and monthly birthday celebrations, and managing related purchases.
- Participate in HR projects and organizational initiatives that align with business objectives.
- Respond to information requests for workers' compensation, unemployment claims, leaves of absence, and employment verifications.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned, escalating complex issues to the HR Manager/Director when necessary.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on HR experience in roles such as HR Generalist, HR Specialist, or HR Operations.
- Solid knowledge of human resources management principles, including talent management, performance management, benefits, and employee relations.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Experience handling confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Pay
Annual salary of $50,000 to $55,000.
