Human Resources Specialist II
Job Description
Human Resources Specialist II supports HR operations by assisting applicants and employees, maintaining documentation, and helping resolve routine to moderately complex employee matters.
Responsibilities
- Assess priorities and execute assigned tasks in a changing environment, escalating concerns as needed
- Participate as a team member or committee member for a Fluor sponsored group or portfolio
- Support routine Human Resources projects with limited complexity
- Respond to customer questions and follow up on related actions
- Coordinate and/or complete Human Resource administrative documents
- Analyze and develop independent recommendations for solutions to problems with varying complexity in line with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in an applicable field of study, plus two (2) years of work-related experience; or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to six (6) years if non-degreed
- Some locations may require additional or different qualifications to meet local requirements
- Effective communication skills with audiences including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
- Job-related technical knowledge needed to perform the role
- Ability to learn and apply applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Preferred Qualifications
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in HR, Psychology, Education, Business, Industrial Relations, Finance, or related field, with significant Human Resources experience
- Understanding of core Human Resources concepts, policies, and administrative procedures
- Strong knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills for complex issues
- Ability to handle confidential company and employee information discreetly
- Experience providing consultation to managers and HR staff
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient computer skills, including word processing, email, spreadsheets, and electronic presentations
- Broad knowledge of internal database applications for the designated discipline
Location: Greenville, SC (onsite)
Compensation: USD 53,500 - 99,500 per yearly
