People Operations Representative
Job Description
This HR generalist role supports FedEx Logistics in Tonawanda, NY with a hybrid work arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, interpret, and communicate HR policies and programs to maximize efficiency, cost effectiveness, and alignment with company philosophy and procedures.
- Provide guidance to management on employee relations issues and HR policies and procedures.
- Lead or assist management in recruiting for exempt and non-exempt roles; conduct new hire orientations; maintain the career opportunity program and employment records; ensure postings, transfers, and promotions comply with policy and AAP/EEO guidelines.
- Advise management on drafting accurate job descriptions.
- Oversee performance appraisal and salary review processes to maintain fair and equitable pay and appraisals.
- Administer compensation and benefits programs in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Investigate internal and external EEO complaints and employee relations issues within and outside the assigned region up to manager level; conduct exit interviews and provide trends and analyses to management.
- Develop action plans to comply with the annual affirmative action plan, support corporate EEO/affirmative action programs in the area, and complete regulatory reports.
- Coordinate training and leadership programs, evaluate effectiveness, and ensure completion of legally required training.
- Educate management on timesheet and payroll procedures; resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Assist management with personnel paperwork including promotions, new hires, terminations, salary changes, and benefits.
- Prepare statistical reports of trends and data necessary for management information.
- Report on the status of personnel programs, policies, and procedures.
- Administer employee surveys, communicate results to management, and help resolve identified problem areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in human resources, business, or related discipline.
- Professional accreditation preferred.
- Minimum three years of experience as an HR generalist, including recruitment, employee relations, EEO/AA administration, management development, and leave of absence administration.
- Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Some travel required.

Preferred Qualifications
- At least 3 years of HR Generalist experience with a strong background in Employee Relations.
Pay Transparency
This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range reflects the starting pay for the lowest level to the highest level. Actual starting pay will be determined by experience relative to the job, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
Pay
Salary: $5,196.10-$8,244.52 per month
Additional Details
This position is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. It is a hybrid role based in our Tonawanda, NY office, with some work-from-home opportunities and some in-office work dependent on company policy.
