Recruiting Specialist

The Recruiting Specialist at CAPTEK Softgel International manages end-to-end talent acquisition in support of business hiring needs. This onsite role in Cerritos, CA partners with business leaders and HR, oversees onboarding and engagement initiatives, and uses recruiting data to improve hiring outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full recruiting and hiring cycle, from candidate sourcing through onboarding.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders and external candidates.
• Advise hiring managers on the recruiting and hiring process, including coaching on effective practices.
• Create and maintain job descriptions, interview guides, and onboarding plans.
• Provide a high-quality interview and onboarding experience for candidates and newly hired employees.
• Participate in recruiting development events.
• Develop and maintain a skill-set matrix to support qualified candidate selection and improve retention.
• Present monthly talent acquisition and organizational development metrics, including open requisitions, time to fill, new hires, conversions from Temporary Assignments, and training.
• Partner with leaders to keep positions staffed in critical operations areas.
• Update and maintain an open position tracking report.
• Support process improvements through daily efforts focused on added value activities.
• Lead retention and training programs, including stay and pulse surveys.
• Manage pre-employment activities, including E-Verify, background checks, and pre-employment drug screens.
• Conduct and complete reference checks.
• Align candidate profiles to openings by maintaining a strong understanding of roles and business objectives.
• Partner with hiring managers to clarify required knowledge, skills, and abilities for open positions.
• Maintain internal tracking tools to support on-demand reporting related to recruitment metrics, growth, and attrition.
• Use Dayforce HRIS and external recruiting sources to meet business objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of full-cycle Talent Acquisition experience.
• Ability to collaborate and partner effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Strong communication skills.
• Capacity to influence business leaders at all levels.
• High professionalism and empathy to represent CAPTEK’s brand.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Technology proficiency, including Microsoft applications, Applicant Tracking System, Learning Management Systems, collaboration tools, video conferencing, job boards, and social media.
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized.
• Ability to travel to locations in San Diego County and other locations as needed.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) with 5 years of equivalent experience.
