Senior People Operations Manager
Job Description
Crusoe is seeking a Senior People Operations Manager to architect and operationalize core People processes in a fast-growing tech environment. This onsite role serves as the operational anchor, bridging People Ops, People Tech, Finance, Recruiting, and IT to support the end-to-end employee lifecycle while safeguarding data integrity across HR systems.
Location: San Francisco, CA (onsite). Compensation: USD 130,000 - 160,000 per year, plus bonus and equity components.
Responsibilities
- Process Design & Optimization: Own end-to-end design of core People processes, document workflows, identify friction points, and drive scalable improvements. Initial focus areas include Talent Acquisition, People Ops, and Payroll interfaces.
- Data Integrity & Consistency: Act as the first line of defense for People data quality. Design and maintain systems, structures, and workflows to ensure accurate, consistent data across platforms, defining data flows and authoritative sources across HCM, ATS, and other systems.
- Change Management & Program Enablement: Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and operationalize change initiatives, develop communication frameworks, and create enablement materials for managers and employees to ensure smooth adoption.
- Headcount Model Management: Maintain and evolve real-time headcount tracking across the employee lifecycle, serving as the accountability owner for data integrity and discrepancy prevention.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as the operational link between People Ops, People Tech, Finance, Recruiting, and IT, translating business needs into system requirements and surfacing gaps for ownership and resolution.
Requirements
- Collaborative Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships with People, Finance, IT, and executive leadership to drive cross-functional alignment.
- Process Engineering: Track record of identifying operational gaps and delivering scalable, documented solutions that boost efficiency.
- Systems Proficiency: Strong experience with HRIS and ATS platforms; comfortable with Rippling, Workday, Ashby, and TeamOhana.
- Data Rigor & Analytical Skills: Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to audit large datasets and uncover root causes of data discrepancies.
- Workforce Operations Expertise: Experience managing headcount tracking models and complex workforce data in a fast-paced environment.
- Payroll & Compensation Knowledge: Deep understanding of payroll submission workflows and the data points needed for accurate compensation processing.

Bonus Skills

Compensation
- Base salary range: USD 130,000 - 160,000 per year, plus bonus opportunities
