Job Description
Kaizen is hiring a Senior Recruiter to lead federal GTM hiring from intake through offer, partnering closely with leaders across federal sales, G&A, and operations. In this hybrid role, you will build relationship-driven sourcing pipelines, deliver a white-glove candidate experience, and use AI tools as a core part of the recruiting workflow.
This position is based in New York or Washington, DC, with frequent in-office presence Monday through Thursday. If you enjoy shaping search strategy in ambiguity and building pipeline through real outreach and follow-through, this role is designed for you.
What you’ll do
- Own full-cycle recruiting for federal sales hiring initiatives, all G&A roles, and operations, from intake through offer
- Build and run relationship-based sourcing strategies that go beyond inbound or job board traffic
- Deliver a white-glove candidate experience at every stage, starting with first outreach and continuing through offer
- Use AI tools as a core part of sourcing, screening, and pipeline management
- Partner directly with hiring managers to translate vague hiring needs into focused, specific searches
- Build sourcing pipelines for roles with thin or highly specialized candidate pools, especially federal/public sector sales talent
- Represent Kaizen’s mission credibly to candidates who could work anywhere, helping them connect government technology to their next move
What you bring
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including a track record of owning searches independently
- Experience recruiting for GTM, sales, or G&A functions, ideally with some exposure to federal, public sector, or specialized talent pools
- A relationship-first sourcing approach grounded in real outreach and follow-through
- Day-to-day fluency with AI tools in recruiting workflow, treated as essential infrastructure
- Comfort working with minimal process, building structure as you go
Compensation and benefits
- Compensation range: USD 140,000 - 170,000 per year
- 100% medical coverage for employees through Oxford/United (Gold and Platinum PPO), and 100% coverage for dependents
- Dental coverage through Guardian (PPO) and vision coverage through Beam, with 100% coverage for dependents
- $100,000 fully paid life insurance
- FSA and Dependent Care FSA
- One Medical membership included, featuring same-day primary care, 24/7 virtual visits, and offices across the city
- Fertility and family-building support through Carrot
- 401(k) through Guideline with a 2% company match
- Parental leave: 16 weeks fully paid for birthing parents and 10 weeks fully paid for non-birthing parents
- Unlimited PTO with a two-week minimum
- Closed for all federal holidays, plus a company-wide winter break during the week of Christmas
- Company offsites throughout the year
- Home office/desk stipend: up to $750 one-time for NYC-based employees and $500 for remote employees
- $50/month commuter benefit (company contribution)
- Expensed lunch while in the office
- Dinner and Uber rides home expensed if working in the office past 7pm
- Company-provided laptop of your choice
- Gym support: fully covered membership for NYC employees at Grindhouse, and $100/month reimbursement for non-NYC employees
- $100/month utility stipend
- $250/quarter home cleaning stipend
- $500/year professional development, $250/year recreation, and $300/quarter pet care stipend
Work location
- Hybrid role based out of New York or Washington, DC
- Candidates must reside or be able to commute to New York City or DC and work in the office at least four times a week (Monday–Thursday)
Additional notes
- Strong candidates may also have: startup or high-ambiguity recruiting experience, prior exposure to federal contracting/govtech/public sector hiring, and experience building or improving recruiting processes or tool stacks
- Not a fit if: you want a fully-built inbound pipeline, view AI tools as optional, need heavy structure or sign-off to move forward, or only focus on filling seats rather than getting hiring right for government trust
