Job Description
Arup is seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist / Senior Recruiter for a 6-month fixed-term contract in Houston, TX (onsite). In this role, you will lead strategic, full life cycle recruiting while supporting a high-touch candidate experience, confidential executive searches, and diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the hiring process. You will also be empowered to own your markets and provide subject matter expertise to senior stakeholders.
What you’ll do
- Own full life cycle recruiting from strategic briefing and market analysis through onboarding, ensuring alignment with business priorities and operational hiring needs.
- Design and run advanced sourcing strategies using market intelligence, talent mapping, and direct outreach to build diverse pipelines and attract top-tier talent.
- Advise senior stakeholders and hiring managers with data-informed insights on market trends, talent availability, and recruitment strategies.
- Champion DEI across the process by proactively attracting candidates from varied backgrounds to build an inclusive workforce.
- Deliver a candidate-centric experience by managing communications and queries across internal and external stakeholders, helping ensure a seamless journey from application to offer.
- Maintain data integrity, compliance, and reporting by keeping the applicant tracking system updated in real time.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR Business Partners and global teams, including Rewards, Mobility, EDI, and Operations, to understand talent needs, drive process improvements, and uphold compliance and reporting standards.
What you bring
- Minimum 6 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment, ideally within engineering, construction, or technical sectors, with strong direct sourcing, market mapping, and experience engaging passive candidates.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Ability to prioritize and manage an average of 15 to 20 requisitions across multiple locations and subject areas, including experience with hard-to-close candidates in a competitive market.
- Capability to source high-caliber active and passive candidates using networking, search tools, job boards, referrals, events, and other methods.
- Strong ownership of the candidate journey from initial contact through closing an offer.
- Consistent pipeline management and a proactive approach to sharing data-centric updates with internal stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and collaborate across diverse teams.
- Self-motivated mindset and a drive to find solutions and create impact without needing prompting.
- Curiosity and the ability to research beyond a job profile, including investigating market trends and domain technology to build business understanding.
- Passion for inclusive hiring practices, including a history of building diverse teams and driving change.
Contract details
- 6-month Fixed-Term contract (onsite in Houston, TX).
- For high-performing individuals, there may be opportunities to extend the assignment and/or transition into a permanent position, subject to business requirements and organizational needs.
- Future employment cannot be guaranteed, but Arup is seeking candidates interested in contributing and growing with the team.
- Hiring range: $50 to 60 per hour (good faith base salary range).
