Job Description

Join Johnson Controls as a Talent Acquisition Partner focused on Early Careers and help build strong talent pipelines for interns, co-op students, and emerging professionals. This contract role is remote within the United States and supports recruiting efforts across multiple business functions, partnering closely with business leaders, hiring managers, HR teams, and university partners. You will contribute to a positive candidate experience while using recruiting data and market insights to support workforce planning.

What you’ll do

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for internship, co-op, and early career full-time hiring across multiple business functions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with universities, student organizations, faculty, and career services teams to strengthen long-term pipeline health.
  • Partner with hiring managers to shape hiring strategies, define candidate profiles, and execute selection processes.
  • Represent Johnson Controls at career fairs, campus events, information sessions, and networking programs.
  • Manage candidates through the recruiting process, ensuring timely communication and a positive experience.
  • Use recruiting data and market insights to improve hiring outcomes and support workforce planning.
  • Support employer branding and early talent programs to enhance Johnson Controls’ presence on campus.
  • Ensure recruiting activities follow employment laws, company policies, and hiring best practices.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Human Resources or a related function, including Talent Acquisition and other HR disciplines such as Talent Management, People Operations, Employee Experience, or Total Rewards.
  • Experience supporting recruiting, talent acquisition, campus recruiting, university relations, internship programs, or workforce planning.
  • Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence and consult with hiring managers and business partners.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems and recruiting technologies.

Location and travel

This role is based out of Johnson Controls Headquarters in Glendale, Wisconsin, with a remote work arrangement within the United States. Periodic travel may be required for campus recruiting events, career fairs, intern programming, and business partner meetings.
