Job Description
Waterbury Hospital is seeking an onsite, temporary Talent Acquisition Specialist in Waterbury, CT.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day recruiting workflows and processes
- Source and present candidates aligned to the job profile
- Oversee the candidate experience from initial contact through evaluation
- Complete recruitment-related administration within established timelines
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the hiring cycle
- Represent the organization at marketing and recruitment fairs
- Offer recommendations to attract top talent
- Handle administrative duties such as collecting references
- Perform call center duties as needed
- Maintain orderly file records
- Fulfill other assigned tasks
- Apply creative sourcing and best practices to build a robust pipeline for current and future openings
- Recruit via telephone, email campaigns, social media, internet sourcing, and other effective channels
- Screen resumes and pre-qualify applicants, apply policy and union criteria, select suitable candidates to advance in the interview process
- Maintain accurate documentation on candidates, searches, interactions with hiring managers, and other recruiting activities in the applicant tracking system
- Serve as the initial point of contact for HRConnection inquiries about ATS, recruitment process, job requirements, and third-party vendors
- Act as a liaison between the hiring manager and candidates during the interview and offer stages
- Provide initial salary recommendations for candidates
- Collect references on candidates
- Track certifications and licensure for compliance and coordinate with Business Partners
- Attend career fairs and networking events
- Maintain positive relationships with team members, candidates, employees, and clients
- Maintain relationships and contracts with third-party agencies and vendors
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including HRConnection phone lines and front desk coverage
- Review Personnel Action Records to ensure policy adherence
- Assist in generating vacancy and recruitment reports for tracking purposes
Requirements
- Associate degree in a related field required
- Minimum 2 years of talent acquisition or recruiting experience
- PHR certification preferred
