Talent Acquisition Specialist

Northwestern Mutual is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support recruiting activity for the Cooley District from an in-person work location in New Hartford, NY. In this role, you will manage an individual pipeline tied to the Financial Advisor Internship, while building strong relationships that generate referrals and lead sources for both internship and full-time recruiting.

You will help connect recruiting outcomes to district priorities by developing outreach channels, coordinating candidate screening and interview scheduling, and partnering with the leadership team to align on recruiting goals and activity commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Build and develop effective referral sources with financial advisors and staff team members to generate lead opportunities for internship and full-time candidates.
• Develop qualified lead strategies using a variety of sources, including referrals, community leaders, advertising, career fairs, and social media.
• Participate in campus clubs and organizations to promote and brand Northwestern Mutual.
• Build and develop centers of influence through community relationships and engagement, including community organizations and board of directors.
• Coordinate advertising and marketing strategies, such as ads, direct mail, and community events.
• Screen candidates and schedule initial interviews.
• Partner with the leadership team to understand recruiting goals and the expected activity commitment.
• Develop proficiency and use home office-supported software to maintain candidate databases and accurate records of prospects, supporting efficiency in the selection process.
• Assist in coordinating leadership team meetings and preparing activity and results reports.

Role focus

This position drives recruiting activity and supports contracts for the Cooley District, with ownership of an individual pipeline that includes sourcing, recruiting, and selecting candidates for the Financial Advisor Internship. The work includes promoting the Northwestern Mutual career opportunity through both internal and external relationships, with an emphasis on generating referrals and developing future leaders.

Compensation

• Base salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
• Bonus: Bonus per contract
• Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
