A performance-based bonus provides an on-target earnings opportunity of $100,000 or more. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist focused on veterinary recruiting, you will build talent pipelines across Petfolk’s markets and actively engage veterinary professionals to drive early-stage recruitment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain robust veterinary talent pipelines aligned with current and future hiring needs.
  • Support recruiting strategies for established markets, new market expansion, and priority hires.
  • Activate new searches quickly by identifying prospective candidates and launching thoughtful, multi-channel outreach.
  • Engage veterinary professionals via phone, SMS, email, LinkedIn, social media, referrals, networks, and industry events.
  • Build relationships with active and passive candidates, including those not ready to move now.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact and introduce Petfolk in a positive, engaging manner.
  • Conduct introductory conversations to understand candidates’ experience, career interests, motivations, compensation expectations, scheduling preferences, and geographic flexibility.
  • Identify qualified candidates and coordinate a thoughtful handoff to the appropriate recruiting or hiring leader.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with candidates through early stages of the recruitment process.
  • Build market knowledge, including talent availability, compensation trends, competitive activity, and barriers to engagement.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition leadership and hiring teams to understand priorities and adjust outreach strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate candidate activity, notes, next steps, and pipeline information in recruiting systems.
  • Track recruiting activity and conversion metrics to identify what works and opportunities to improve.
  • Contribute ideas for campaigns, messaging, events, partnerships, and other ways to engage veterinary talent.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in recruiting, talent sourcing, staffing, business development, sales, or a related relationship-driven role.
  • Staffing agency or search experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience proactively identifying and engaging prospective candidates or customers.
  • Experience using phone, SMS, email, social media, and other channels to build relationships.
  • Experience with an applicant tracking system, recruiting CRM, or similar platform.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
