Healthcare Talent Acquisition Specialist
Job Description
Location: Charlotte, NC (hybrid) • Employment type: Contract • Salary: USD 67,000 - 75,000 per year • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent • Experience: 2+ years in recruitment
Responsibilities
- Forge strong partnerships with hiring managers to pinpoint staffing needs and deliver service-focused support.
- Collaborate with managers to define quality candidate profiles while honoring headcount budgets.
- Provide a smooth, positive experience for both hiring managers and candidates from application through offer, guiding interviews, salary guidance, and job offers.
- Source candidates through online channels, social networks, and professional communities.
- Coordinate the interview process, including screening calls, assessments, and final interviews.
- Oversee job requisition creation and approvals, posting roles across all job boards and career sites.
- Draft and manage offer letters in alignment with approved terms and compensation.
- Develop job descriptions and interview questions aligned to candidate profiles.
- Represent the organization at job fairs and recruitment events.
- Build and maintain relationships with past applicants and passive candidates to sustain talent pools.
- Stay current on job market trends to inform recruiting strategies.
- Support recruitment initiatives during new program implementations or business expansion.
- Evaluate candidate information using the Applicant Tracking System.
- Update recruitment metrics and dashboards to track progress.
- Meet or exceed goals and metrics defined by Talent Acquisition leadership.
- Lead employer branding efforts in collaboration with the Marketing team to attract top talent.
- Promote diverse representation at all organization levels and lead inclusion and belonging hiring efforts.
- Encourage teamwork within the TA team, share best practices, and identify growth opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent HR experience.
- 2-5 years of full-cycle recruitment experience using diverse interview techniques.
- Proven ability to build talent pipelines and source passive candidates.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, social media platforms, job posting platforms, and vendor relationships.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, especially during calls, follow-ups, and in-person interactions.
- Travel availability based on business needs.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be at least 18 years old, unless state regulations differ.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in line with HIPAA guidelines and professionalism.
- Ability to pass a seven-year background check.
- Must pass substance abuse testing and/or tuberculosis testing if applicable.
- Must pass education verification.
- Must obtain designated fingerprinting clearance in applicable states.
- Must pass a three-year motor vehicle report and meet minimum insurance eligibility if driving is required.

Additional Duties

- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds when necessary.
