Human Resource Coordinator
Job Description
The Human Resource Coordinator role supports all facets of the HR department onsite in Huntsville, Alabama. This position emphasizes strong communication, organizational prowess, and solid administrative capabilities to foster a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Administers new hire orientation and onboarding, ensuring all required paperwork is completed and properly processed.
- Collaborates with the HRBP team to generate Personnel Action Forms for changes, hires, terminations, and related tasks, in accordance with HR procedures.
- Assists with creating job descriptions for new positions tied to the contract.
- Maintains employee records, oversees file maintenance, and supports record-keeping efforts.
- Coordinates various internal HR programs.
- Supports the HRBP Team with Employee Relations as needed to promote positive relations between management and staff.
- Completes employment verification requests.
- Responds to employee questions or directs inquiries to the appropriate department for resolution.
- Performs data entry in the HRIS.
- Willingness and ability to travel to different sites as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a concentration in Human Resource Management.
- Minimum of 2 years of HR experience; experience supporting a unionized workforce is desirable.
- HR certification is desirable.
- Experience using an HRIS; Workday and Deltek experience preferred.
- Proven accuracy and auditing capabilities in prior roles.
