Human Resource Generalist
Job Description
Based onsite in Lubbock, Texas, Sysco is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to partner with the HR Manager and HR Business Partner to implement local initiatives and carry out regional and corporate programs. This role focuses on building an environment that attracts, develops, retains, and engages talent across the operating company to achieve business goals. You will join a collaborative HR team and contribute to practical people programs while leveraging key HR systems.
What you’ll do
- Execute transactional core HR processes such as coordinating new associate orientation, unemployment claims, onboarding and exit interviews, transitional return to work, leave administration, OSHA reporting, and related activities.
- Provide coaching and guidance to associates and supervisors regarding policy and procedure.
- Support hiring managers and Talent Acquisition to implement recruitment and staffing plans.
- Support and maintain the eTime system and payroll-related activities.
- Assist the HRBP in driving an inclusive and diverse culture.
- Administer programs to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction levels.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in Human Resources management preferred and/or an equivalent combination of related training and experience.
- Bachelor’s degree with major or emphasis in Human Resources, Business Administration or a closely related field required for external candidates but preferred for internal candidates.
