Human Resources Administrator
Job Description
Provide hands-on HR administrative and operational support across the employee lifecycle for a Houston-based team.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the HR shared inbox, respond to routine inquiries promptly, and escalate to the appropriate HR team members when needed.
- Support end-to-end employee lifecycle administration including onboarding, internal transfers, promotions, status changes, leaves of absence, and offboarding.
- Prepare, process, and maintain employment-related documentation with attention to accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and applicable legal requirements.
- Maintain employee records in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), including demographics, job changes, compensation updates, organizational changes, and termination records.
- Coordinate onboarding and employment eligibility workflows, including new hire communications, documentation collection, I-9 compliance, system access requests, orientation support, and related record/document maintenance.
- Assist with offboarding activities including termination paperwork, system updates, exit documentation, and coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Support benefits administration tasks such as employee enrollments, life event changes, evidence of insurability submissions, and responses to employee benefit questions.
- Process employment verifications and other employee-related requests in a timely and confidential manner.
- Assist with compensation administration by processing approved wage increases, spot bonuses, and other approved compensation changes.
- Produce HR reports and metrics, including ad hoc reporting requests as required.
- Review HR-related invoices and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and proper processing.
- Support recruiting and talent acquisition activities as needed, including interview coordination, candidate communications, job posting support, and background check administration.
- Help with HR compliance initiatives, including audit support, record retention requirements, and policy administration.
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, HR administration, employee services, or a related professional office environment.
- Experience supporting multiple HR functions, including employee records management, onboarding, benefits administration, HRIS maintenance, and employee support.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Experience with HRIS platforms, applicant tracking systems, and other HR technology solutions preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.

Location: Houston, TX (onsite) | Salary: USD 24 - 32 per hourly
