Human Resources Coordinator
Job Description
Plant-level HR coordination at the San Bernardino site, onsite, with a salary of USD 60,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates hiring and onboarding of new employees.
- Manages open enrollment for site benefits.
- Promotes employee safety, welfare, and wellbeing; conducts safety meetings at the assigned site.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintains positive labor relations by working with two unions and business agents.
- Supports company policies and procedures in collaboration with the HR team.
- Handles required paperwork and records; prepares forms and reports as needed.
- Maintains a high level of professionalism and dependability.
- Exhibits strong computer and internet skills, including the Microsoft Office suite.
- Supervises and trains additional HR staff as needed in HRIS and payroll data input and status changes.
- Produces accurate reports for staffing, safety, and employee training.
- Maintains data integrity of HRIS data for the location.
- Manages the workers' compensation return-to-work program for the location.
- Oversees the interactive process for work restrictions and employee integration.
- Coordinates monthly employee celebrations.
- Supports and manages plant-wide employee information through PowerPoint presentations and bulletin boards.
Requirements
- 4-year degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of HR experience.
- Bilingual English and Spanish; ability to read, write, and present in both languages.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for professional interaction at all levels.
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
