Job Description
The Human Resources Generalist will support daily HR operations onsite in Pittsburgh, PA for Atencio Hall, PLLC, emphasizing policy consistency and a positive employee experience for attorneys and staff.
Responsibilities
- Oversee attorney recruitment and administrative staffing processes, including posting roles, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and managing offers.
- Act as the primary coordinator for new attorney training programs.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding for attorneys and staff to ensure a seamless and professional transition.
- Plan and conduct new hire orientation, presenting firm culture, policies, and available resources.
- Organize monthly firm meetings and support planning of firm events.
- Arrange internal and external training opportunities to support professional development.
- Offer coaching and guidance to supervisors and staff to foster constructive working relationships.
- Collaborate with external vendors or resources to deliver targeted coaching or training as needed.
- Support firm culture initiatives, engagement efforts, and retention strategies.
- Administer benefits programs, handling enrollments, changes, terminations, and employee inquiries.
- Coordinate the annual benefits open enrollment, working with brokers and vendors to ensure accurate communications and timely completion.
- Process payroll by compiling and verifying employee data, reviewing timesheets, and coordinating with CTR HR/Payroll.
- Maintain HRIS data, personnel files, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and firm policies.
- Assist with performance review cycles and professional development initiatives.
- Contribute to HR process improvements and participate in special projects as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of HR experience.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
