Compensation and location
Salary: USD 70,000 – 90,000 per year. Location: Richardson, TX, onsite.
Position overview
The HR Manager will be ApproveShield’s first dedicated human resources professional, establishing and guiding the HR function for a growing organization of 100+ employees. You will serve as the primary contact for all employee facing HR matters and will build scalable HR processes, documentation, and infrastructure within a collaborative setting that includes payroll, operations, and department leadership.
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment from sourcing through onboarding
- Maintain accurate employee records and uphold HRIS data integrity
- Address employee relations concerns and contribute to a positive, inclusive culture
- Support performance management cycles, including reviews and development plans
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including background screening requirements (FCRA awareness)
- Administer benefits programs and respond to employee inquiries
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures
- Maintain a consolidated employee handbook
- Coordinate training initiatives, including compliance and data privacy training
- Assist with audits and documentation related to HR and regulatory compliance
- Manage offboarding processes, including exit interviews and documentation
- Provide supervision and leadership to direct reports within the HR function
Requirements
- 5 to 7 years in an HR generalist or specialist capacity
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Familiarity with Paychex or comparable HRIS/payroll platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently, follow established procedures, and create documentation
