Job Description

Senior Housing invites a proactive Human Resources Manager to lead all HR functions onsite in Westfield, New Jersey. You will shape human capital strategy, strengthen employee relations, and guide strategic planning to foster a positive culture aligned with our mission and growth goals. This role offers hands-on leadership, cross‑department collaboration, and an opportunity to directly influence organizational effectiveness.

Compensation and Location

Location: Westfield, New Jersey (onsite). Compensation: 28.00 to 31.00 USD per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute HR strategies aligned with the organization's goals, including workforce planning and organizational design.
  • Oversee the talent acquisition lifecycle, from recruiting and interviewing to onboarding and orientation to attract top talent.
  • Direct performance management, appraisal processes, and learning and development initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
  • Administer benefits programs, manage workers' compensation claims, and ensure compliance with employment and labor laws.
  • Lead change management by creating policies, delivering training, and guiding organizational transitions smoothly.
  • Address employee relations matters professionally, including conflict resolution and applying disciplinary procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with affirmative action planning, OSHA standards, and other applicable legal requirements across HR activities.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of HR management experience.
  • Solid knowledge of employment and labor law, workers' compensation processes, and OSHA standards.
  • Proven success in talent acquisition strategies using an Applicant Tracking System.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives at once.
  • Excellent communication skills for interactions with staff at all levels and external partners.
  • Experience with HR systems such as Salesforce or ADP for payroll processing and benefits administration.
  • Experience in organization design, succession planning, performance management, and learning and development programs.
