Human Resources Manager
Job Description
Cabinetworks Group seeks a Human Resources Manager to oversee manufacturing HR operations onsite, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive employee relations and investigations in collaboration with manufacturing leadership. The role requires spending at least 30 percent of time on the production floor and leading process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain adherence to applicable federal and state regulations across all plant sites, including FMLA and workers' compensation obligations.
- Provide guidance to the plant HR team to resolve issues and sustain a positive, productive, and compliant work environment.
- Collaborate with plant HR to investigate discrimination or harassment claims and policy violations, recommending corrective actions where appropriate.
- Oversee recruitment and selection activities.
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business goals.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, and other concerns.
- Direct a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
- Conduct FLSA and HR audits as required at plant locations.
- Provide project support such as research, report generation, and proactive labor assistance.
- Assist the HR department during the annual budgeting process.
- Deliver monthly labor and employee relations updates.
- Assess training needs and monitor the implementation of training programs.
- Report to management and offer decision support via HR metrics.
- Conduct HRIS audits as required for the corporate headquarters.
- Provide compliance support to plant locations, including workers' compensation and FMLA.
- Ensure ongoing legal compliance across all human resources activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of seven years of HR experience.
- Ability to spend 30 percent of time on the production floor.
- Strong knowledge of HR KPIs such as turnover, absenteeism, labor cost, and headcount.
- Working knowledge of current employment regulations including FMLA, ADA, WC, EOE, COBRA, and EEOC.
- Proficiency with computer applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven ability to build positive partnerships and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workloads.
- Travel availability up to 20%.
