Job Description
Fibre Converters, Inc. seeks a dynamic and strategic Human Resources Manager to lead recruiting, payroll, and benefits administration. The role oversees talent acquisition, payroll operations, employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, and organizational development from the Constantine, MI onsite location, with an annual salary range of USD 68,041 to 81,942.
Responsibilities
Key duties and scope encompass collaboration with supervisors to refine job descriptions as needed, along with providing guidance and coaching to managers for investigating employee concerns, delivering performance coaching, and documenting progressive discipline. The position advances the company’s vision, mission, and safety culture and participates in the safety committee to review open action items and reduce risk of incidents.
- Collaborates with supervisors to update job descriptions as required.
- Provides guidance and coaching to supervisors for investigating employee complaints, performance coaching, and progressive discipline documentation.
- Promotes the organization’s vision, mission, and safety culture across the workforce.
- Serves on the safety committee, reviews open action registers, and contributes recommendations to minimize safety risks.
- Maintains confidential employee records for payroll and benefits and processes weekly and special payrolls as needed.
- Tracks wage progression for production employees in accordance with the position wage scale.
- Administers all fringe benefit programs including 401(k) Plan, Health Insurance, Section 125 Plan, Life, Disability, Paid time off, and Worker’s Compensation.
- Recommends benefit changes or additions based on market comparisons to maintain local competitiveness.
- Coordinates activities of outside consultants and advisors, such as third-party administrators, agents, and auditors.
- Maintains required documentation for government mandates such as COBRA, ACA, FMLA, and I-9.
- Monitors and reports quarterly local wages and benefits for market comparisons.
- Keeps current with benefit laws at federal and state levels to propose changes ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the President and CEO.
