Human Resources Manager- Home Health/Home Care
Job Description
Onsite in Canton, Ohio, this Human Resources Manager will lead HR practices for the home health and home care teams, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
Overview
Strategic partner to organizational leadership, this role oversees people operations, policy development, and compliance across home health and home care functions to support safe, compliant, and efficient service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Develop, revise, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and processes
- Act as a liaison between leadership and staff, addressing concerns, grievances, and workplace issues
- Oversee all pre-employment and post-employment activities
- Manage onboarding and offboarding in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements
- Administer compensation structures and benefits programs
- Lead end-to-end recruitment, including screening, interviewing, and coordinating with managers on staffing needs
- Support professional development and employee engagement initiatives
- Administer performance management processes and monitor evaluations and required education
- Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records in compliance with laws
- Provide guidance on employee relations, attendance, discipline, and performance matters
- Process personnel actions and respond to employment information requests
- Perform additional duties as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in home health or healthcare
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulatory requirements in homecare settings
- Experience leading HR functions and supporting leadership teams
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Experience with HR systems, with PeopleSoft being a plus
- 5+ years of HR management experience, preferably within the home health industry
