Join B&D Industries, Inc. as an on-site HR Recruiter in Albuquerque, NM. This role focuses on non-bargaining positions and serves as the primary HR contact for candidate inquiries. You will help shape a positive employee experience, ensure compliance, and facilitate clear, effective communication across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full cycle recruitment for non-bargaining roles, from sourcing to offers and onboarding
  • Coordinate onboarding activities including welcome materials, workstation setup, and new hire tours
  • Source candidates through research, online platforms, social media, career fairs, smart sourcing, and additional channels
  • Prepare welcome materials for new hires, transfers, and promotions; collaborate with hiring managers to set up workstations
  • Create and distribute monthly communications on Promotions, New Hires, and Transfers
  • Serve as liaison with area employment agencies and advertising agencies
  • Screen and interview candidates via phone, SparkHire video, and in-person or Teams interviews
  • Guide candidates through the hiring process from application to onboarding
  • Conduct reference checks as needed and administer Predictive Index Assessments to qualified candidates
  • Maintain a consistent, positive flow of communication among candidates, leadership, and stakeholders
  • Manage applicant tracking systems (Applicant Stack and SparkHire) and report on recruiting metrics
  • Write and maintain job descriptions in PolicyTech to ensure relevancy
  • Collaborate with Business Development on social media posts for open positions
  • Utilize advanced sourcing tools and stay current with recruiting best practices
  • Uphold high standards of integrity and discretion with sensitive information while aligning with company values
  • Identify and attend career fairs annually to support talent acquisition goals
  • Manage post-hire administrative tasks for non-bargaining hires, promotions, and transfers, including tracking assessments (PI, GiANT), PI readbacks, 90-day reminders, and preparation of materials such as nameplates
  • Coordinate and attend employee work anniversary events, including after-hours celebrations as needed
  • Conduct employee reviews, including 90-day and annual evaluations
  • Coordinate monthly employee events and create non-bargaining birthday bundles
  • Coordinate with Business Development to support recruiting merchandise and supply orders
  • Maintain awareness of employment laws and practices
  • Create and update Standard Operating Procedures for assigned tasks
  • Participate in team cross-training and serve as a backup for various HR duties
  • Maintain strong organization and attention to detail with effective written and verbal communication
  • Fulfill physical requirements such as long hours at a computer, sedentary work, and occasional lifting or climbing
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate varying availability and occasional travel as needed
  • Additional duties may vary and change as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience in human resources or recruiting with knowledge of HR best practices (preferred)
  • Demonstrated integrity and sound judgment when handling sensitive situations
  • Professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion in all interactions
