Job Description
Granite Bay Care, located in Scarborough, Maine, is hiring a full-time Recruiter to lead end-to-end recruitment and onboarding on site. This position offers an annual salary between USD 45,000 and 50,000, plus a benefits package designed to support employees and their families. The role emphasizes strong candidate communication, collaboration with the HR team, and a streamlined onboarding experience to help new hires thrive from day one.
Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruiting for exempt and nonexempt roles, sourcing candidates both internally and externally
- Screen, interview, and partner with hiring managers to understand specific needs, then prepare and extend employment offers
- Maintain proactive and clear communication with candidates via phone, text, email, and in person
- Ensure accurate pre-hire and post-hire documentation, including background checks and I-9 processing, integrated into the HRIS
- Maintain employee files electronically
- Collaborate with the training department to support new employee orientation and deliver orientation training as needed
- Create, update, and maintain job descriptions with support from the Human Resources Director
- Contribute to the development of department goals, objectives, and tracking systems for candidates
- Represent Granite Bay Care at ongoing recruitment events such as career fairs
- Assist with and support other HR-related needs as they arise
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of online sourcing and local sourcing techniques
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable automobile that is safe to operate, with an active automobile insurance policy
- Strong ethical character
- Proven time management skills that support productivity and efficiency
- Reliable and dependable approach to work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using computers and comfort with learning and applying new technology; competent in conducting internet research
