Job Description
Nielsen’s Arc Service is seeking a part-time Safety & Human Resources Manager to support both people operations and workplace safety at our location in Redmond, UT (in-person). This role offers the opportunity to bring structure to HR processes while helping keep safety compliance organized across OSHA, MSHA, and fleet requirements. The position is 25–30 hours per week, with a schedule to be discussed and pay negotiable based on experience, within $35,000–$50,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Lead recruiting and hiring activities, including interviewing, onboarding, and coordination of new hire processes
- Manage recruiting through Indeed and Utah Workforce Services
- Maintain employee personnel files and HR documentation, ensuring records are organized and up to date
- Handle employee relations support, disciplinary actions, and responses to HR questions
- Maintain employee manuals and company policies
- Track PTO and employee leave
- Ensure OSHA compliance, including maintaining OSHA 300 logs
- Ensure MSHA compliance and documentation, including scheduling and tracking MSHA New Miner and Annual Refresher classes
- Maintain employee safety and training records, coordinate safety meetings, and ensure required training is completed
- Investigate workplace incidents and assist with corrective actions, supporting follow-through on required updates
- Maintain and update company safety programs
- Manage customer and vendor compliance systems, including Avetta and ISNetworld, plus other required platforms
- Complete customer safety and prequalification requirements
- Oversee fleet safety and DOT compliance, including JJ Keller, Driver Qualification Files, and MVR records
- Track DOT physicals, CDL information, and driver documentation, and maintain USDOT/MC-150 information
- Coordinate IRP fleet registrations, track truck and DOT inspections, and manage company vehicle location and assigned driver records
- Coordinate fleet accident documentation and maintain business insurance documentation
- Manage Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and coordinate General Liability, Commercial Auto, and Workers’ Compensation matters
- Report and track WCF and General Liability incidents
- Coordinate insurance renewals, audits, and required customer insurance documentation
