Job Description

The Hiring Method, LLC seeks an experienced Senior Human Resources Manager to oversee all onsite HR operations for a large manufacturing facility in Arkansas City, KS. This role partners with plant leadership to drive engagement, workforce planning, and operational effectiveness across multiple shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all onsite human resources functions for a manufacturing site supporting approximately 300 employees.
  • Partner with plant leadership, operations, and functional leaders to align people strategies with business objectives and workforce initiatives.
  • Drive employee engagement, retention, workforce development, and organizational culture across shifts.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, staffing, and workforce planning for both hourly and salaried staff.
  • Serve as the lead HR business partner for employee relations, investigations, coaching, and conflict resolution.
  • Support leadership development, succession planning, performance management, and employee growth initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and HR regulations including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, OSHA, and related policies.
  • Manage compensation, benefits administration, and HR policy implementation.
  • Lead performance appraisal and talent development programs to drive growth and accountability.
  • Maintain strong visibility on the manufacturing floor and support day-to-day operations across multiple shifts.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to support hiring strategy and workforce planning efforts.
  • Support safety initiatives and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Analyze HR metrics such as turnover, retention, engagement, and workforce trends to inform business decisions.
  • Coach and support supervisors and plant leadership on HR best practices and people management.
  • Develop and implement HR programs, policies, and process improvements that support long term operational success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Labor Relations, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles in manufacturing or industrial settings.
  • Strong employee relations experience in manufacturing, production, or multi-shift operations.
  • Proven ability to partner with operational leadership teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Solid knowledge of employment law, labor regulations, HR compliance, and workplace investigations.
  • Experience leading performance management, employee development, and engagement initiatives.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience supporting hourly workforces and frontline leadership teams.
  • Capacity to balance strategic HR leadership with hands-on day-to-day execution.
  • Comfortable working onsite within a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Manufacturing or food manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred
  • Experience supporting highly tenured or multi-generational workforces is a plus
  • Experience leading HR initiatives in 24/7 operational environments preferred
