Job Description

Staffing Technical Services Inc. offers an onsite Senior Talent Acquisition Recruiter role in Charlotte, NC with an hourly range of USD 38 to 43. The position provides standard medical, dental, and a 401(k) plan to support health and retirement goals. You will deliver a high level of customer service to internal and external customers while leading daily employment office functions. The role collaborates with engineering leaders on project-specific staffing to ensure compliant processes and timely hires within the nuclear power environment. This position emphasizes partnership, accountability, and proactive communication with site partners and hiring managers.

This is an onsite opportunity focused on engineering-focused, project-driven staffing needs in a regulated nuclear power setting, with emphasis on timely placement and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Sources, screens, and performs preliminary interviews on potential candidates.
  • Coordinates site interviews with the appropriate hiring manager to select qualified candidates for project specific requirements and makes contingent employment offers based on federal and state law.
  • Manages assigned employment requisitions, including reviewing, editing, and final approval of completed requisitions.
  • Tracks and reports data on staffing plan processes using software such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other databases.
  • Assists in building and managing Employment Staffing Plans by entering information related to employment and hiring requirements.
  • Builds and updates job descriptions based on project scope of work.
  • Coordinates and conducts redeployment initiatives with proactive communication to employees prior to anticipated end dates.
  • Conducts operational and administrative portions of the hire process, including background checks, drug screen, health screen, I-9 compliance, E-Verify compliance, employment paperwork, and site specific requirements.
  • Serves as point of contact for portion of the employment process for internal partners at the job site (lead for processing or portion of recruiting efforts).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with recent experience hiring engineering professionals within the nuclear power industry.
  • Direct experience recruiting for disciplines such as I&C, electrical, mechanical, and civil/structural engineering, with a focus on plant modifications, design engineering, and system upgrades.
  • Ability to evaluate candidates against nuclear-specific requirements, including experience supporting design packages, field walkdowns, system ownership, and familiarity with NRC regulations and nuclear plant operations.
  • Experience recruiting for digital controls, legacy system upgrades, and instrumentation/control systems is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting project-based hiring where schedules, mobilization dates, site needs, and technical depth are critical.
  • Proven ability to work independently as the sole engineering recruiter supporting business leaders and hiring managers.
  • Strong sourcing experience with success identifying and engaging passive candidates through multiple channels.
  • High sense of urgency with strong follow-up, responsiveness, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder partnership skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn ATS systems quickly.
  • Technologies used include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, E-Verify, and an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
