Job Description
This onsite role in Indian Trail, North Carolina offers competitive compensation of $38.00 - $43.00 per hour, depending on experience, along with standard Medical, Dental, and a 401(k) plan. You will deliver high quality service to internal and external customers while coordinating day-to-day employment office operations in support of project teams in a collaborative environment. This position is suited for a recruiter who can drive timely, quality hires for engineering projects and partner closely with site leaders.
Responsibilities
- Source, screen, and conduct initial interviews with candidates.
- Schedule and coordinate on-site interviews with the appropriate hiring manager to align candidates with project needs and extend contingent offers in compliance with federal and state laws.
- Oversee assigned employment requisitions, including review, edits, and final approvals.
- Track and report staffing plan data using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other databases.
- Assist in building and managing Employment Staffing Plans by entering information related to employment and hiring requirements.
- Create and update job descriptions reflecting project scope and requirements.
- Lead redeployment initiatives by proactively communicating with employees ahead of anticipated end dates.
- Manage the operational and administrative elements of the hire process, including background checks, drug screening, health screening, I-9 compliance, E-Verify compliance, employment paperwork, and site-specific requirements.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal partners at the site for portions of the recruiting process, guiding recruiting efforts as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with recent experience hiring engineering professionals within the nuclear power industry.
- Direct experience recruiting for disciplines such as I&C, electrical, mechanical, and civil/structural engineering, with a focus on plant modifications, design engineering, and system upgrades.
- Proven ability to evaluate candidates against nuclear-specific requirements, including experience supporting design packages, field walkdowns, system ownership, and familiarity with NRC regulations and nuclear plant operations.
- Experience recruiting for digital controls, legacy system upgrades, and instrumentation/control systems strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting project-based hiring where schedules, mobilization dates, site needs, and technical depth are critical.
- Proven ability to work independently as the sole engineering recruiter supporting business leaders and hiring managers.
- Strong sourcing experience with demonstrated success identifying and engaging passive candidates through multiple channels.
- High sense of urgency with strong follow-up, responsiveness, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder partnership skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn ATS systems quickly.
