Job Description
Turner Construction Company is seeking a Skilled Trades Recruiter to support talent acquisition for xPL Offsite Manufacturing within defined region(s), with the work based onsite in Decatur, AL. In this role, you will manage the full recruitment lifecycle for skilled trades requisitions while partnering closely with hiring managers and internal HR and operations teams to attract, screen, and onboard qualified candidates.
You will also help advance Diversity and Inclusion efforts, support internal mobility, and contribute continuous improvement ideas to strengthen the Talent Acquisition team’s effectiveness across the broader HR organization.
What you’ll do
- Manage the talent acquisition lifecycle for xPL Offsite Manufacturing skilled trades requisitions within assigned region(s), ensuring timely fulfillment of hiring needs.
- Partner with regional hiring managers to define talent needs and job requirements for open requisitions.
- Coordinate the recruitment process end-to-end, including posting requisitions in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and on social media platforms, identifying and screening qualified candidates, and sharing short lists with hiring managers.
- Schedule interviews, create offer letters, manage background screening, and initiate onboarding.
- Proactively build and maintain a pipeline of qualified talent using multiple sourcing techniques and acquisition resources.
- Research, identify, and engage talent for open requisitions using multiple social media platforms and resume databases.
- Administer D&I programs to support the attraction and identification of diverse applicant pools.
- Build relationships and deliver high level customer service to HR and xPL Operations teams, hiring managers, and other stakeholders.
- Support internal mobility by partnering with regional HR and Operations teams and other business units to expedite candidates’ mobility, transfers, and related processes.
- Manage Experienced Tracking System (ETS) content to facilitate mobility opportunities and leverage ETS to data mine and identify internal candidates based on capability, mobility, and availability.
- Contribute continuous improvement ideas to enhance TA effectiveness and apply basic lean concepts and practices to reduce waste and coordinate work efficiently (examples include Personal Kanban, A3 problem solving, and Story Boarding).
- Develop strategies and programs to attract applicants and address acquisition challenges in collaboration with local/regional business unit leaders, hiring managers, HR teams, and marketing to promote Turner as “Employer of Choice” in the talent acquisition process.
- Participate in company-wide HR initiatives and perform other assigned duties.
What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited program in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field, with 3 years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Construction or construction-related industry experience, or experience with a mid-size organization (10,000+ employees), preferred.
- Professional certification in Human Resources (HRCI PHR) or SHRM CP, preferred.
- Good understanding of business and construction operations.
- Knowledge of HR Talent Acquisition policies, operations, and processes.
- Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and other social media platforms, preferred.
- High energy self-starter with advanced Talent Acquisition skills and ability to prioritize competing demands.
- Strong professional verbal and written business communication skills, plus excellent interpersonal skills, presentation skills, active listening, and follow-up practices.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all employee levels, management, and applicants/candidates.
- Integrity and discretion to maintain confidential information.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision while collaborating with others.
- Ability to implement new talent acquisition programs and processes with attention to detail and deadlines.

- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 25 pounds.
- Works in an office or remote setting; noise is usually quiet to moderate in an office environment.
- May occasionally work at construction work sites with exposure to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock; noise may be moderate to loud.
- Must work in compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
