Sr. Human Resources Generalist
Job Description
Location: Marion, OH (onsite); salary: USD 75,000 - 90,000 per year. The Sr. HR Generalist provides support across recruiting, onboarding, HRIS, time and attendance, safety, policy administration, and employee engagement, with an emphasis on compliance, reporting, and cross-department collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Lead full life cycle recruitment for roles in partnership with respective managers.
- Create and post internal and external job postings using our ATS.
- Prepare and place employment advertisements; engage recruitment agencies or other labor sources; screen resumes; schedule and conduct interviews; manage the end-to-end process.
- Perform reference checks and coordinate physicals; prepare offer letters.
- Onboard new hires through the HRIS and facilitate new employee orientations.
- Ensure time off such as vacations is recorded in ADP and compliant with policy.
- Collaborate with all departments on culture and engagement initiatives, including internal communications, recognition, celebrations, succession planning, and internal promotions.
- Maintain job structures by updating job descriptions and requirements to align with HR objectives.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze results to provide actionable recommendations.
- Actively participate in the Sika SAFE Program and lead efforts to advance the Sika SAFE culture in Marion.
- Administer the plant absenteeism program and maintain the time and attendance database.
- Develop and deliver HRIS training for end users, including employees, managers, and HR staff.
- Recommend improvements to engagement and retention strategies.
- Prepare and analyze HR reports related to staffing, turnover, and related metrics as needed.
- Enforce company policies, rules, and procedures to ensure employee safety.
- Monitor compliance with labor and HR related federal laws and regulations.
- Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings and investigations as needed.
- Participate in other HR projects as assigned.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of HR experience with strong HRIS experience.
- Experience with an ATS; SmartRecruiters is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional multitasking, organizational, prioritization, and planning skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Discretion and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
