Job Description

OU Health offers a collaborative, growth-minded environment for a Talent Acquisition Recruitment Specialist focused on Adult Services. This on-site role in Oklahoma City centers on building strong candidate pipelines, partnering with hiring managers to secure top talent, and guiding offers with clarity and timeliness. A bachelor’s degree and at least three years of recruiting experience are required, along with a proactive approach to delivering a best in class candidate experience that reflects OU Health’s brand, culture and growth goals.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the OU Health brand as a knowledgeable ambassador across service lines and total rewards benefits.
  • Promote talent acquisition practices that deliver an efficient, candidate-centered experience aligned with OU Health’s brand and culture.
  • Adhere to service level agreements to ensure a smooth and efficient hiring process.
  • Stay informed on recruiting strategies and market trends to recommend process improvements.
  • Collaborate with hiring leaders to craft recruitment strategies for critical and hard to fill positions, using data to guide decisions.
  • Coordinate ad placements with internal teams and external partners.
  • With HR leadership approval, engage staffing agencies and external search firms; serve as liaison with external sources.
  • Work with hiring leaders to clarify expectations, processes and talent needs to present the most qualified candidates.
  • Identify qualified candidates by screening resumes and conducting interviews via phone, in person, or virtually.
  • Utilize sourcing techniques to reach passive and active candidates and improve candidate flow.
  • Organize and participate in strategic recruitment activities such as job fairs, conferences, on-campus events and other talent events.
  • Ensure positive candidate and hiring manager experiences by timely responses, interview scheduling, and updates throughout the hiring lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate information in the applicant tracking system to ensure compliance with policies and applicable laws.
  • Calculate and negotiate job offers for chosen candidates, securing approvals and communicating decisions clearly.
  • Deliver declination notices positively and assist strong candidates in exploring other OU Health opportunities.
  • Collaborate with HR teams to support onboarding and ensure a welcoming experience for new hires.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and strategy sessions to align on goals and share insights.
  • Engage in professional development activities and SLA/KPI reviews to improve results.
  • Provide support, training and guidance to other team members as needed.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare practices
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Advanced ability to use Applicant Tracking Systems; Workday experience preferred
  • Self motivated professional who works well under pressure with limited supervision
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask and manage a high volume of requisitions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service to candidates, leaders and team members
  • Advanced understanding of best in class recruitment practices
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in recruiting and talent acquisition
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification at time of hire or within 12 months of hire
