Talent Acquisition Specialist
Job Description
As the organization’s hiring needs evolve, the Talent Acquisition Specialist helps turn workforce priorities into effective, end-to-end recruitment outcomes. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, this onsite role supports The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh by partnering with hiring managers and People Resources leadership to attract, assess, and secure qualified candidates.
This position is based in Pittsburgh, PA and focuses on full-cycle recruiting, accurate tracking in the applicant tracking system (ATS), and recruiting practices that align with applicable employment laws, EEO requirements, and internal policy.
Responsibilities
- Execute full-cycle recruitment for approved requisitions, including sourcing and screening.
- Source candidates through multiple channels such as job boards, referrals, outreach platforms, community partnerships, and recruitment events.
- Partner with hiring managers to confirm role requirements, interview expectations, and selection criteria within approved job architecture and hiring guidance.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date requisition, candidate, and hiring records in the ATS.
- Ensure recruitment practices comply with EEO requirements, relevant employment laws, and internal policies.
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Manager to identify process improvements and workflow efficiencies.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, or a related human resources function.
- Experience in healthcare, education, nonprofit, or other regulated environments is preferred (equivalent experience will be considered).
- Act 73 FBI clearance
- Act 34 Criminal Clearance
