Job Description

Garmin’s Talent Acquisition team is seeking a full-time Talent Acquisition Specialist 3 at its U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. This onsite role supports a diverse portfolio by running end-to-end recruiting, partnering closely with hiring managers, and using proactive sourcing and data-informed decisions to improve hiring outcomes. You will help strengthen the candidate experience through clear communication, structured processes, and an informed representation of Garmin’s culture and employee experience.

What you’ll do

  • Independently manage end-to-end talent acquisition for professional and specialized roles, from requisition intake through offer acceptance
  • Act as a consultative recruiting partner to hiring managers by aligning recruiting efforts with role requirements, timelines, and candidate expectations
  • Lead structured intake discussions to confirm hiring strategy, candidate profiles, and evaluation criteria
  • Develop and execute targeted sourcing for active and passive pipelines across multiple recruiting channels
  • Assess candidate qualifications against job requirements and competencies, then provide clear recommendations to hiring managers
  • Use an applicant tracking system (ATS) and related tools to maintain accurate documentation, data integrity, and compliance
  • Maintain regular communication with hiring managers on pipeline status, market conditions, and anticipated hiring challenges
  • Support a positive candidate experience through consistent updates and process transparency
  • Participate in and support internal and external recruitment events, including preparation, representation, and candidate engagement
  • Monitor pipeline health and recruiting progress using metrics and data, identifying risks and adjusting strategies as needed
  • Resolve moderately complex recruiting challenges independently, escalating higher-risk issues appropriately
  • Collaborate with recruiting peers and HR partners to share best practices and improve team effectiveness
  • Follow confidentiality, ethical recruiting practices, and applicable employment laws and regulations
  • Consistently meet or exceed recruiting performance metrics by managing pipelines, adjusting sourcing strategies, and addressing risks that may impact timelines
  • Serve as an ambassador for the employer brand by articulating culture, mission, values, and employee experience

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or a related discipline, plus at least 5 years of progressive recruiting/talent acquisition experience
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to influence hiring decisions using consultative guidance, data, market insight, and candidate assessment
  • Experience recruiting for specialized, professional, or hard-to-fill roles with proactive sourcing strategies
  • Demonstrated success partnering with hiring managers to refine candidate profiles, hiring strategies, and interview processes
  • Proven ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously with minimal oversight
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance requirements, and structured interview practices
  • Ability to travel as needed

Tools and certifications

  • Desired: AIRS or PHR certification

Additional desired experience

  • Experience planning, researching, or leading recruitment events, hiring initiatives, or talent campaigns
