Job Description

CycloKinetics (CleanJoule) offers an onsite Talent Acquisition Specialist role in Salt Lake City with a strong emphasis on collaboration, growth, and employee wellbeing. You will partner with leadership to build pipelines, shape recruitment strategy, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience across R&D, engineering, scientific, technical, and corporate roles.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for R&D, engineering, scientific, technical, and corporate positions, including candidate evaluation and referral to hiring managers.
  • Maintain approved requisitions, vacancy logs, and postings to ensure timely and accurate activity.
  • Source candidates through job boards, professional networks, outreach programs, educational institutions, career fairs, referrals, and diversity-focused channels.
  • Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates and align with role requirements.
  • Conduct preliminary interviews to assess work history, education, training, technical qualifications, skills, experience, and salary expectations.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling and logistics between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Develop and maintain talent pipelines for current and future workforce needs.
  • Prepare salary offers and onboarding paperwork for selected candidates.
  • Coordinate and maintain personnel files, new hire documentation, and employment records.
  • Facilitate pre-employment checks including references, background investigations, employment and education verifications, and criminal screening.
  • Support onboarding and participate in New Employee Training on a rotating schedule to ensure smooth integration.
  • Assist with internal recruitment, employee transfers, promotions, and workforce development initiatives.
  • Partner with managers and leadership to support workforce planning and succession activities.
  • Assist in developing, reviewing, and maintaining job descriptions for alignment and market competitiveness.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of job levels, career progression frameworks, and pay bands across the organization.
  • Maintain accurate applicant records in the ATS, ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with privacy requirements.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, source effectiveness, candidate experience, and hiring manager satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, EEO requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers to understand talent needs and recruitment priorities.
  • Advise on recruiting strategies, labor market trends, and best practices to attract top candidates.
  • Promote a positive candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Perform duties in a safety regulated environment where chemicals are used.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong sourcing and candidate engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of recruiting tools, Greenhouse ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, and talent sourcing techniques.
  • Excellent interviewing, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to understand technical job requirements and evaluate candidate qualifications effectively.
  • Solid organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience analyzing recruiting metrics.

Physical Demands

  • Frequent lifting and moving of items up to 25 pounds, bending, reaching above shoulder level, climbing stairs, pulling, and prolonged standing or sitting may be required. Safety policies must be followed. PPE is provided and required.
