Location and schedule: New York, NY, onsite with four days in the office and one remote day per week. Salary range is USD 67,000 to 75,000 per year. This role requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in Human Resources or a related administrative field.
Responsibilities
- Orchestrate a smooth onboarding experience for new hires, covering orientations, employment documentation, and system setup.
- Coordinate offboarding activities, including exit interviews and related procedures.
- Act as the primary, approachable point of contact for employee questions, routing inquiries to the appropriate HR colleagues as needed.
- Respond to questions about HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Cultivate trust-based relationships with employees and managers to foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture.
- Proactively address day-to-day HR needs for employees and the business.
- Assist employees with benefits questions, connect them to resources, and support open enrollment.
- Support the annual performance review cycle, learning programs, and retention initiatives.
- Maintain and update accurate records in HR systems, org charts, and distribution lists.
- Generate HR reports and contribute to data management across the department.
- Contribute to process improvements and operational initiatives to enhance workflows and the overall employee experience.
- Leverage analytics and AI to identify workforce trends and create tools for efficient HR delivery.
- Support compliance efforts by identifying potential risk areas and implementing required training.
- Coordinate employee engagement initiatives such as recognition programs, company events, town halls, and volunteer activities that reinforce PMC's collaborative culture.
- Assist with the rollout of AI initiatives across the department and broader organizational programs.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in a Human Resources or related administrative role.
- Solid knowledge of HR operations and best practices, with familiarity with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Experience handling confidential matters with tact, discretion, and integrity.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with UKG or other HR software platforms.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive, service-oriented attitude with a collaborative, team-first mindset.
