Early Career Recruiting Lead
Job Description
Own campus recruitment strategy and connect the next generation of construction professionals with meaningful careers; travel 40-60% during university career fair seasons.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with hiring managers to capture current and upcoming talent needs and align recruiting plans with business objectives.
- Create and implement a targeted campus recruiting program spanning construction management, civil engineering, skilled trades, and business majors.
- Cultivate durable partnerships with universities, community colleges, and trade schools, engaging program leads, faculty, and student groups.
- Represent the organization at national career fairs, classroom sessions, information nights, and networking events.
- Hire, onboard, and coach interview teams to ensure a confident, consistent presence at campus events.
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment for early career candidates from initial touchpoints to offer acceptance.
- Strengthen the internship program by designing experiences that convert interns into full-time hires.
- Partner with marketing to produce recruitment materials and digital content that resonate with student audiences.
- Monitor and manage a campus talent pipeline, using data to measure success and identify improvements.
- Strategically manage the campus recruitment budget to maximize reach and return on investment.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in campus recruiting or university relations.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities, comfortable leading large audiences or conducting one-on-one conversations.
- Proven track record of building authentic relationships with students, faculty, and university staff.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and modern recruiting technologies.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to multiple campuses throughout the year.
- Knowledge of construction industry career pathways is a plus; genuine curiosity about the field is highly valued.
