Job Description

Housing Works in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Healthcare Recruitment Specialist within our People Operations team. This onsite role offers a salary of USD 65,000–68,000 per year and focuses on full-cycle clinical talent acquisition, including physicians, nurses, and allied health staff. Responsibilities

  • Source and attract healthcare professionals through ATS, LinkedIn, Indeed (sponsored postings), healthcare job boards, and professional networks.
  • Build pipelines for physicians, nurses, and allied health staff.
  • Partner with nursing schools, medical programs, workforce development groups, and healthcare associations.
  • Perform cold outreach and targeted engagement for hard-to-fill clinical roles.
  • Represent Housing Works at healthcare job fairs, conferences, and recruitment events.
  • Track weekly sourcing activity and pipeline health.
  • Review 30–40 healthcare resumes weekly with focus on licensure, credentials, and clinical experience.
  • Conduct at least 15 structured phone screens weekly to assess clinical competency, certifications, and culture fit.
  • Coordinate interviews with physicians, clinic leadership, and department heads.
  • Verify credentialing requirements early and maintain compliance with healthcare hiring regulations and internal policies.
  • Manage requisitions for clinic and healthcare roles through UKG.
  • Partner with HR and clinical leadership on offers and onboarding readiness.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Maintain trackers for open clinical roles, candidate pipelines by specialty, resume flow, screenings, interviews, and hiring outcomes.
  • Prepare monthly recruiting reports highlighting activity, pipeline trends, and outcomes with accurate credentialing data.
  • Coordinate onboarding for clinical hires, ensuring licenses, certifications, immunizations, and other compliance requirements are met by start date.
  • Support orientation logistics and onboarding schedules for clinic staff and track 30/60/90-day milestones.
  • Identify process improvements and propose new sourcing strategies for clinical talent pipelines.
  • Stay informed on healthcare labor market trends, compensation benchmarks, and licensing requirements to support workforce planning.
  • Contribute to broader People Operations initiatives and workforce planning efforts.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with at least 2 years in healthcare recruiting strongly preferred
  • Proven experience hiring for clinical roles (RN, NP, MD, MA, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of healthcare credentials, licensing, and compliance requirements
  • Experience managing high-volume recruitment in fast-paced environments
  • Proficiency in Excel and applicant tracking systems
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical teams
