Human Resource Coordinator
Job Description
Impact Bio is hiring a Human Resource Coordinator to help run the employee lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding. This full-time U.S.-based role is remote and focuses on keeping HR operations running smoothly, maintaining accurate HRIS records, and supporting employees and leaders with day-to-day HR needs.
Based in Columbia, SC (remote), the position coordinates documentation, orientation activities, HR reporting, and HR-related inquiries while partnering with the HR team to improve the employee experience.
What you’ll do
- Coordinate the full new hire onboarding process, including preparing, distributing, tracking, and following up on employment documentation
- Work with HR team members to deliver an onboarding experience that is engaging and consistent for every new hire
- Communicate with employees, managers, and internal stakeholders regarding onboarding status, employment documentation, and HR-related inquiries
- Facilitate electronic completion of employment documents, company policies, and acknowledgements
- Schedule and support new hire orientation
- Maintain employee records and ensure accurate documentation within the HRIS
- Generate recurring HR reports and help maintain employee data integrity
- Respond to employee questions and direct inquiries related to payroll, benefits, HR policies, and other employment matters
- Assist managers and HR leadership with performance management activities, employee communications, and personnel documentation
- Coordinate employee offboarding, including exit interviews and separation documentation
- Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the employee experience
- Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources department as needed
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree required (Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred)
- Previous administrative experience required; Human Resources experience strongly preferred
- Experience with HRIS platforms is a plus
- Strong organization with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong customer service mindset and ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Self-motivated and adaptable, comfortable working independently in a remote environment
