Human Resource Recruiter
Job Description
The Human Resource Recruiter will manage end-to-end recruiting and onboarding within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This onsite role in Bowling Green, KY offers a salary range of USD 45,000 to 50,000 per year and requires a minimum of 1 year of recruiting or HR experience and a High School Diploma or equivalent. The position partners with supervisors and leadership to attract, evaluate, and hire qualified candidates for hourly and salaried roles while ensuring a positive candidate experience and compliance with employment laws and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruiting for hourly and salaried roles, including supervisors, engineers, and production staff.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to capture staffing needs, role requirements, and workforce planning.
- Create and maintain job postings across job boards, the company site, and other sourcing platforms.
- Screen candidates and coordinate on-site interviews.
- Maintain candidate pipeline and ensure ATS accuracy and timely updates.
- Coordinate pre-employment steps, including background checks, drug screening, and reference verifications.
- Draft and extend offers in line with company guidelines.
- Oversee onboarding for new hires, including orientation, paperwork, and system setup.
- Verify onboarding documents (I-9, W-4, policy acknowledgments) are completed correctly.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and internal policies.
- Support retention initiatives by analyzing turnover trends and evaluating recruitment effectiveness with HR and leadership.
- Assist with training coordination for new hires and internal promotions.
- Maintain accurate employee records and generate HRIS reports.
- Support ISO/IATF and HR-related continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in HR projects, audits, and departmental initiatives.
- Track and report recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, turnover, applicant flow, etc.).
- Coordinate with supervisors on staffing needs, scheduling interviews, and hiring decisions.
- Support employee relations matters including coaching, discipline, and terminations as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information.
- Assist with performance evaluation tracking and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with candidates, employees, and leadership at all levels.
- Promote a positive workplace culture through professional and timely interactions.
- Ensure safety standards and PPE requirements within the facility.
- Support plant initiatives such as Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Associate degree in Human Resources preferred.
- 1-3 years of recruiting or HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
