Located onsite in Okoboji, IA, Parks Marina Inc. is seeking a Human Resources and Benefits Administrator to oversee HR, benefits, and payroll operations. This role serves as the vital link between management and staff, guiding recruiting, onboarding, training, safety initiatives, and benefits navigation to support a cohesive, high-performing team. The position offers a wage range of USD 20 - 26 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
- Talent acquisition leadership: oversee end-to-end recruitment, interviewing, and hiring to build a top-performing team.
- People development: direct onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training to ensure every team member has the tools to succeed.
- Strategic growth: manage right-sizing initiatives, maintain organizational clarity, and design succession plans for future leaders.
- Safety coordination: act as Safety Team Coordinator, conduct quarterly meetings, and maintain a safe environment for staff and customers.
- Payroll and benefits oversight: serve as the primary payroll backup and assist employees with benefits navigation, including 401(k) plans and health insurance.
Requirements
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in Business or HR is not required but helpful; PHR or SHRM-CP certifications are a major plus!
- Experience: Typically 3+ years of HR experience, with payroll experience in small to mid-size companies preferred.
- Skills: Strong capabilities in HR planning, compensation strategy, and regulatory compliance.
- Industry knowledge: experience in the marine industry is beneficial but not required.
